anatomy of emotions, metaphysical anatomy of the stomach from a TCM persepctive and how to listen to and keep your gut healthy, trust your gut
How is your heart?
Two eclipses in one month, the equinox squished in between them
— no wonder your nervous system feels stretched.
Your heart a little tenderised - or a lot
It’s a lot to hold.
And if your stomach feels heavy, constipated or bloated,
If you find yourself saying
“I just can’t stomach this ”
— Your body, more specifically your gut brain
may be asking you to get curious about a lie you cannot digest
or what you are holding on to that needs to be released.
And if you have been with me for a while,
you already know that every crisis is an opportunity for growth.
And requires a huge dose of self compassion,
because it is painful and beautiful and brutal......
and temporary.
This
to
shall
pass.
The "blessons" of this season:
( I go DEEP on how to use the energies to transform and free yourself
in the astro-numerology insights I send out on Wednesdays)
This double-eclipse portal is not here to break you,
but to illuminate the truth of your divinity.
It’s here to dissolve what you can no longer hold,
what was never yours to carry and what you can no longer swallow.
so you can finally let it go and return to the truth of who you are.
— dissolving illusions and emotional residue.
— refining our patterns, health, and daily rhythms.
— light and dark equal, a mirror for nervous-system coherence.
Last week your listened to your Heart's expression
— how your heart beat, it's natural rhythm is to synchronise,
attune to the heartbeat of Earth and what happens physically and emotionally when
it is out of harmony.
Today let's explore the consciousness of the Stomach:
because in the collective field and perhaps in your own life,
there is a lot of crazy going on
that you may be finding difficult to stomach or digest.
By sharing the wisdom of your stomch, my hope is that
you will be able to trust you intuition -
so that you can receive, assimilate, and release.
Set yourself free from the limitations of your mind.
You’re exhausted because
A protector part within you is trying to keep you safe -
to avoid pain.
If as a child, you didn’t get what you needed
— love, safety, belonging , a survival/ protector identity is created.
As a child what you don't understand, you make up in the stories you tell yourself.
Your perception shapes your inner world
— What you believe about yourself creates suffering, even if it isn’t true.
— What you don’t question, you end up believing — because perception builds identity.
and there in lies the dis-ease.
At the root, is the undigestible lie
I am
- not enough.
- not safe.
- not lovable......
From that moment, life becomes something to manage.
We all to some degree seek the answers outside of ourselves.
I know because I have been there many, many times myself.
We build routines, practices, modalities.
We read the self help books, meditate, journal, breathe, cleanse, collect certifications.
We see therapists, go on the healing retreats, take the plant medicine.
Beautiful words, practices, and communities.
Helpful yes, but most often fleeting.
Because none of it get to the root of why are you NOT present,
or why you take things personally in the first place.
or when you started believing you were unlovable, unworthy, or not enough.
And so you keep reacting to life from the unresolved parts of ourselves
rather than responding to what your heart, soul and body desire.
The knot in the stomach.
The reflux.
The metaphors you use -
“I can’t stomach this.”
" I am sick to my stomach."
“Left a bad taste in my mouth.”
Your intuition, your body's wisdom informing you that something FEELS off.
Often they are echoes of some trauma that you were unable to digest long ago.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine,
the Stomach and Spleen/Pancreas/ Mouth are governed by the Earth Element
When balanced → openness, discernment, nourishment, adaptability.
When imbalanced → worry, bloating, IBS, acid reflux and an intolerance to new thoughts.
overthinking, compulsive cravings for sweetness outside of ourselves.
In other words the primary job of the stomach is to help us digest our lives
by accepting new food and thoughts.
It keeps us open to new ideas without becoming too gullible.
(If you want to go deeper, take a look at Going with the Flow -
through the five elements feeding cycle self study program.)
Your body speaks in metaphors:
“I can’t stomach this.”
“A bitter pill to swallow.”
“Sick to my stomach.”
The stomach (including the gut microbiome)
isn’t just about digesting food
— it’s also the gatekeeper of the mind.
It decides which thoughts to let in and which to reject.
When it’s balanced, you can discern what is true from what is untrue,
what nourishes from what poisons.
In this way, even worry has a purpose:
it’s the stomach’s way of slowing you down so you can think
consciously and choose wisely.
But when the stomach is out of balance, it loses this clarity.
It starts rejecting too quickly
— or taking in everything without discrimination.
You loop in anxiety, depression, intolerance, or the undigestible lie of
“not enough.”
True freedom doesn’t come from chasing new thoughts or identities.
It comes from clear discernment
— the ability to receive what is pure and true,
and release what is impure, untrue, or never yours to carry.
If you find yourself in a loop of ruminating thoughts / OCD
“I digest life with ease.
I drop the identity formed in fear.
I receive the sweetness of life.
I return to my true nature
— free, whole, and nourished.”
Beloved Source,
Soften my stomach and my soul.
Help me release the lies I can no longer stomach.
Bring me back into coherence with my heart,
and into balance with the rhythm of the Earth.
May I taste the sweetness of life as it is,
and rest in the freedom of my true nature.
This eclipse portal is not about fixing yourself.
It is about dissolving the lies that was never true.
This is where true digestion begins.
This is where freedom lives.
And this is the work of the Turning Point program
and the Going With the Flow: Five Elements Cycle
— learning to decode the body’s messages,
heal at the root, and return to the freedom that has always been yours.
Because everything you are seeking,
is inside of you.
It's time to let go!
Much love always
