Making Peace a Decision NOT a Discipline

vWhen you make a conscious choice over forcing yourself to be ready, everything can change. Break the cycle keeping you stuck in Fight mode

We are approaching the longest day (21st June) of the year in the Northern Hemisphere

—Summer Solstice

—there's something both luminous and liminal about this threshold.

A moment suspended between seasons.

A still point of turning.

To those of you in the Southern Hemisphere, a blessed Winter Solstice.

A time to go inward. To pause. To remember the wisdom that darkness brings.

It was also Father's day in the US, and so may we honour the divine masculine

—not the patriarchal distortions we see playing out in global leadership,

but the sacred masculine:

the steady presence,

the light bringer,

the protector of what is sacred.

Because right now, the world is giving us a masterclass in what peace is NOT.

—from war to ecological crisis to political unrest

and you might be feeling the edges fray in your tender nervous system.

You might be wondering:

How can I show up and serve in a deeper way, when my heart is breaking?

How can I stay focused on my healing when everything outside me feels like it’s on fire?

Here’s the truth:

Peace is not the absence of conflict.
It is UBUNTU

It is the presence of your breath.
It is a discipline.
It is a nervous system that knows how to create internal safety.
It is a daily choice to respond from truth, not trauma.

You say you want peace.
But what does it mean to BE PEACE ?

What do you really want when you say you just want peace in your life?

What does peace feel like in your body?
What sensations would accompany it?
What beliefs would have to die?
What emotions need to shift?
What stories are you willing to rewrite?

Because here’s the thing:
Most of us don’t recognize peace when it arrives

—because we’ve spent decades marinating in

urgency,

hypervigilance,

over-giving,

or performance-based love.

We don’t trust peace because most of us have witnessed more un-peace

In our families growing up

On the playground

In the political arena.

Un=Peace + Unsafe to be you.

It is easy to forget that Peace lives in you.

You don't earn it.

You choose to BE it.

So let me remind you—

you can’t scale your soul
through systems.

You don’t protect your precious life
like a tower to keep war out.
You build it through the body as a temple.
Spacious.
Sacred.
Unpredictable.
And yes…sometimes terrifying.

So, please don’t wait for the chaos to end.

Reclaim your inner refuge now.

Allow yourself to serve from that place...

Because......

Your body wisdom,
your lived experience,
your frequency,
your soul…

Is EMBODIED peace.

When you stop warring against yourself,

PEACE becomes inevitable.

Everything moves through you with

More ease, grace and joy.

Even if you can’t explain how

In Turning Point sessions, this is exactly the work we do:
We bring your body back to a state of trust,

so that peace stops feeling like a threat and starts feeling like a friend.

Your nervous system doesn’t need more adrenaline.

It needs a new definition of success:

Safe. Regulated. Resourced. Rooted.

From that place, you can think clearly.

Act wisely.

Grieve fully.

Love fiercely.

So just for this moment, how can you embody peace?

The solstice reminds us that “sol” (sun) and “stice” (stillness)

is the sacred PAUSE.

Stillness is where peace lives—in a busy, chaotic, aching world.
Peace reminds me that I am not beside nature, but made of her.

Her rhythms guide everything in my life.

I wake up. I serve. I walk. I lose my way. I fall down.

And still, she reminds me where home is.

That I am safe.

That I am always supported.

That I am Peace-filled.

As are you !

Love amd Peace,

Sarah- (Soulara

P.S.
If peace landed in your heart today,

let it echo through your breath,

your body, your choices.

Tomorrow I will send part two,

where we will dive deeper into peace as a revolutionary practice,

a sacred rebellion, and a nervous system skill for these times.

Until then…
Feel the earth beneath you.
The light within you.
And remember: You are not alone.

Peace is in your bones.
