You know that saying "make love, not war"" ? What if embodying the warrior energy is powerful tool to inner peace?
Here is the second part to my peace wonderings
- because by raising our awareness,
naming what is possible when we are constantly hearing words like
"ceasefire,
destroy,
drone attacks,
weaponised.....
and seeing images of dead and wounded people,
desecrated buildings and land, missile launch attacks
- our collective nervous systems are tender with grief and fear -
is the medicine we desperately need right now.
So what does it feel like to BE PEACE?
Peace reminds me that I am not beside nature,
but made of her.
Her rhythms guide everything in my life.
I wake up. I serve. I walk. I lose my way. I fall down.
And still, she reminds me where home is.
That I am safe. That I am always supported.
That I can be peaceful inside when the outside is warring.
She slows down my racing heart.
She shows me beauty in the ordinary moments.
She never abandons me when I’m struggling.
Everyone depends on her.
And yet so many have forgotten what she feels like.
That chaos is a natural law.
That destruction is often the beginning of return.
I have, at times, considered stopping.
Stopping feeling. Stopping creativity.
Stopping ......
But nature and the animals, especially the horses -
they have saved me from myself, my entropy,
my overwhelmed nervous system.
Over and over and over again.
So I show up.
For her. For her beauty. Her benevolence. Her grandeur. Her ceaseless care.
Because to honor and care her is to care for myself.
The love I know—because of her—is what anchors me.
Brings me home to (inner) PEACE.
And what if being with the feeling of UN-peace isn’t about recovering joy,
but remembering what it means to be fully alive?
To carry our joy alongside grief.
To stop fighting for control and begin making space for truth.
“Grief serves a Wild God
and does not comply with conformity
or well-mannered lives.” ----- Francis Weller
Unmetabolized grief feels like war.
Moved and witnessed, it becomes peace.
What if everything that is not peace is simply strong medicine
—an invitation to become a better version of yourself?
What if peace is not the prize for perfection,
but the path of those brave enough
to stay open through discomfort?
What if peace isn’t influenced by external forces,
but a choice we practice inwardly?
Not a prize we win.
Not a reward we earn once the chaos ends.
But a state of being we decide to return to again and again.
Peace isn’t given.
It’s remembered.
It’s what lives beneath the noise, the stories, the war within.
Because when we stop fighting to be right
and start choosing to be real, raw and truthful,
we set ourselves free.
Now that is a holy shift.
That is a revolution.
And after the dust has settled,
That’s how we REbuild from truth
-a new, kinder world to call home.
BUILDING FROM YOU.
That is what it means to be a peaceful warrior.
Turning Point Reframe:
Peace isn’t passive. It’s powerful. It’s not something you wait for. It’s something you embody.
Mantra to Hold:
Peace is not a ceasefire. It is the frequency I choose to live in.
Holy Shift Practices:
Anchor — Anchor yourself in stillness when everything around you moves.
Disarm — Disarm old trauma responses and remind your body it is safe now.
Regulate — Regulate your breath to return to the truth of this moment.
Return — Keep returning to the present moment. Peace lives there.
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly.
Breathe in slowly for 4 counts. Hold for 2. Exhale for 6.
Let your body know it is safe to stop bracing.
Let the breath anchor your soul back home.
or Use this accupressure point.
And if you’re ready to reclaim peace as your new baseline,
Book a Turning Point session
and let me help you to start rebuilding from the inside out.
You’re not too late.
The world is not too far gone.
And you are not wrong for needing rest in a season of war.
You are the peace-bringer.
The pattern-breaker.
And your body knows the way.
With peace and love,
Sarah-Jane (Soulara)
